Our Story

About Huepham Charity

A public charity rooted in Ashburn kitchens and Loudoun living rooms—built to steady families when the month runs short and to grow programs that last beyond a single crisis.

Origin

From a neighborhood need to a registered public charity

Huepham Charity began in Ashburn, Virginia, when neighbors noticed the same quiet pattern: a layoff letter on the counter, a utility shutoff notice taped to the door, an elder skipping meals so grandchildren could eat. The response was practical—grocery cards, rides to clinics, evening résumé help—before it became formal.

On January 28, 2023, the IRS recognized HUEPHAM CHARITY as a 501(c)(3) public charity under section 509(a)(2). The determination letter followed on February 21, 2023. That paperwork did not change the work; it simply made gifts tax-deductible and accountability public.

Our community roadmap stays close to the ground: stabilize households in crisis, open pathways to steady work through skills workshops, and keep youth and seniors from aging or growing up alone. Each year we tighten intake, publish clearer stewardship numbers, and deepen partnerships across Loudoun County.

Mission

What we exist to do

Support underprivileged families, raise quality of life, and build sustainable social-welfare programs that households can count on—not one-off gestures that vanish when the cameras leave.

How We Work

Core values that shape every intake and every dollar

These are not wall slogans. They are the filters we use when a family calls, when a donor asks where money went, and when a volunteer signs up for a Tuesday shift.

01

Compassion

We meet people in the middle of a hard week—without judgment about how they got there—and listen before we prescribe a form.

02

Integrity

Records, conflict disclosures, and financial reports stay accurate. If we cannot keep a promise, we say so early.

03

Direct Impact

We prioritize aid that lands in kitchens, classrooms, and clinic waiting rooms—targeting 88%+ of gifts toward active programs.

04

Radical Transparency

EIN, officer names, and filing status are published openly. Donors and beneficiaries deserve the same clear ledger.

05

Community First

Local partners, faith hosts, and neighborhood volunteers shape the calendar. Programs follow what Ashburn households actually need.

Legal Transparency
